About the FastAlign^® 5110Pro Software:
The software for this meter will allow you to add, delete, or modify the satellite list, transponder specification, and 22KHz tone settings using your PC or laptop. 

When you download the entire software, in addition to the FastAlign^® 5110Pro software, you will also have the PL2303 Driver which you will need to install first prior to running the meter software. 

The difference between the FastAlign^® 5100Pro and FastAlign^® 5110Pro Software:
With the development of the new and upgraded meter, came a new software.  There are several differences in the software of the two meters. 

    1.  The first difference is the QuickRecovery^® Software, which is only available on this meter.

    2.  The second difference is that we have added a 22KHz switch column to the satellite list.  Now you can set your 22KHz switch to "ON" or "OFF" and the setting will be saved when you load your meter with the new satellite list.

What is QuickRecovery^® Software?
QuickRecovery® Software restores your FastAlign 5110Pro satellite meter back to original factory condition after power or software/data transfer interruption that can almost always result in a dead meter.  Here is how.

If you have had any experience with programming a satellite receiver via computer, you have more than likely ran into a situation that you accidently either lost power, loaded a non-compatible software or channel list, or had an interruption during your transfer that resulted in your receiver "going bad" or dying and becoming useless.  You may have heard people mentioning that you have to open the receiver, find the flash memory and  having to JTag the receiver in order to reset or erase the flash memory and reloading the default software or channel/satellite list or software. 

This is the same for almost any electronic device, including satellite meters.  Software or data is stored on your meter's flash memory.  If you load the wrong software, or if you loose power while you are loading data to your meter, the flash memory becomes unusable resulting in a dead meter.  Before, you had to open your meter, find the flash chip, use JTag hardware & software to erase the flash memory, then load factory software back onto your device.  Sounds complicated?  Yes, it could be, and it can also be very time consuming.   

But now, with the all new QuickRecovery^® Software that is built into the loader of the FastAlign 5110Pro, you don't have to worry about any of this.  If you were to load the wrong software, or if your power or data transfer gets interrupted, you can use the "Recovery" button on the loader software of the FastAlign 5110Pro satellite meter and your meter will go back to the original factory software and setting!  This is another reason why you should always purchase a brand name satellite meter, like the LEXIUM FastAlign® 5110Pro.
